Vista Video Driver - How to Reinstall a Video Driver on Windows Vista

Installing Windows 7 Ultimate Product Key with the Driver Disc CD

Some, but not all, computers will come with a driver disc CD. If you have such a CD, then you are in luck and it will be fairly easy to install the required drivers.

Place the disc into the CD drive.

Open Device Manager

a. Click Start

b. Type in "Device Manager"

c. Select Device Manager

d. Click Continue

Devices not working will have a yellow triangle next to them.

Right click the video card and select Update Driver Software

Select "Search automatically for updated driver software"

Reinstall the Video Driver without a CD

If you do not have a CD, then you have two options. Either you can download the driver manually from the manufacturer's website or you can run driver update software.

Installing from the Manufacture Website

First, the site may have unintentionally put forth an incomplete driver that will cause everything to crash.
